Even if you already wear contact lenses, you may not realize how many different kinds of contacts there are, or how new materials and designs can improve your vison and eye health. Whether you need them for sports, work, or just occasionally, we can choose the best lens for you.
Eyes come in different sizes and shapes, so you need to have an accurate “fitting” to make sure your lenses will fit your eyes properly. To do this, we will take special measurements of your eye and its surface, checking for curvature and other factors that will affect how your lenses fit. Finally, your cornea will be carefully examined to make sure there aren’t any problems that could make it hard for you to wear contact lenses.
Have you been told or thought that you couldn't wear contacts because of dry eyes or too much astigmatism? Dr. Sarai and Dr. Sood have extensive experience fitting difficult cases such as excessive astigmatism, dry eyes, keratoconnus and bifocal contact lenses.
The goal of our contact lens fittings is to find the most appropriate contact lens for your optimal comfort and vision. An enormous variety of types, styles, materials, sizes and colors are offered. We are committed to taking the time and making the effort to fit you properly. In our experience, the extra time, effort and patience are very worthwhile, both for your ultimate satisfaction and the health of your eyes.
Insertion and Removal Training Session
During the appointment, our contact lens specialist will provide personalized instruction in the safe care and usage of your new lenses. Should further time be required, we will be happy to schedule an additional session. Upon completion of a successful insertion and removal session, you may begin wearing your lenses and we will schedule your first follow-up appointment. When your instruction session is complete, you will be asked to sign the agreement below.
Follow-up Appointments
One or more follow-up appointments may be necessary to assure that your contact lenses continue to fit well and your eyes remain healthy.
Contact Lens Fitting Policy
Village Eye Care charges a fitting/follow-up fee that includes the contact lens fitting, a starter lens care kit, trial lenses if appropriate, and the various visits needed for three months.
